RODO FLORENCE SPA

The project essentially translated into the category of creating new production unit.

The investment made by the RODO company was aimed at expanding its production capacity and introducing new processes for the production of footwear, bags and leather goods completely Made in Italy.

RODO through this project has expanded the range of products made through research and development activities for new creative solutions through the modern software and 3D scanners it already has and the pushed and advanced research towards innovative materials.

Thanks to the purchase of an electronic programmable sewing machine rotary head, it was possible to internalize a production that was being done externally. The entire organization of the suplly chain was also revised with the goal of increasing total production and per capita productivity despite an increase in the variability of production batches.

 

Objectives achieved:

- expansion of the production unit through the construction of a new building of about 2150 square meters in which part of the new machinery was installed;

- acquisition of new, highly automated, high-performance machinery that has enabled diversification and expansion of production.

- Increase in labor force from 108 units to 115 labor units

- Increased level of customer service. The expansion of production and the construction of new in-house areas has made it possible to respond very quickly to customer needs and to create the product prototype very quickly so that all structural changes can be made and verified before the finished product is manufactured.

- Reorganization of production processes, particularly reorganization of the assembly production process aimed at increasing per-capita productivity (parts per operator).

- Business process improvement through the adoption of LEAN MANUFACTURING models.

- Increased comfort and well-being of workers

 

 

The investment project amounted to €512,786.00 for a total contribution of €136,476.20.
